Summary of A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall

The creative writing teacher, the delivery guy, the local Starbucks baristas, his best friend, her roommate, and the squirrel in the park all have one thing in common―they believe that Gabe and Lea should get together.
Lea and Gabe are in the same creative writing class. They get the same pop culture references, order the same Chinese food, and hang out in the same places. Unfortunately, Lea is reserved, Gabe has issues, and despite their initial mutual crush, it looks like they are never going to work things out.
But somehow even when nothing is going on, something is happening between them, and everyone can see it.

Review

A Little Something Different was an impulse buy. The cover caught my eye because it was sitting on the wrong shelf at the bookstore, so I decided to pick it up and buy it. The story's unique format and feel good romance make it a quick, fluffy read.

The format of this book is unique because the story is told from fourteen different viewpoints but never from the perspective of the two romantic leads. While lots of different POVs can usually turn me off from a book, Sandy Hall manages to carry it off with grace. I do wish there were a few POV chapters from the two romantic leads, Lea and Gabe, but it was entertaining to read about their slow build romance from the perspectives of those around them.

The romance between Lea and Gabe is sweet and makes you feel good. The story is predictable, but that's okay. You'll be cheering along with everyone else in the book for Lea and Gabe to "just date each other already!"

I gave A Little Something Different a 3 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.
